SAND CRAB (POEM)

I sat at the beach and admired the sand crab for his sincere devotion to make his home, the firm hole, which seldom collapses. I tried and digged my hand in the sand and oops, the hole collapsed as soon as my hand was out. Sand crabs and our perception of reality, does this comparison really sounds sensible?

While writing this poem, Sand Crab, I felt the peace flowing in me, with the realisation that a small crab can also teach us something.😊
THE SAND CRAB

Mesmerised I watched the sand crab,

How beautiful he makes the hole in sand’s lap,

It’s his home or a secret place to take a nap,

His hole never collapses, I gave a happy clap.

I tried and tried, but my hole again filled with sand,

The tunnel never took me to the treasure land,

Am I not strong or I don’t have that perfect hand,

Are my efforts simply immature or unplanned?

Early morning the beach became my destination,

To learn from the sand crab about his perfection,

The rejuvenating waves smiled, seeing my dedication,

Groom me, dear crab, to receive that standing ovation.

When you are taken for granted and tagged as available,

The crab smiled and said, then you are no more termed as valuable,

Learn to live on your own terms, if you want to be unforgettable,

Unlike other crabs, I move only backward,

and so defined as unbelievable.

The sun gave you the tan, but I am one of the sun sign,

I make the hole with wet sand and that’s my life line,

Don’t struggle inside faking a smile and say I am fine,

Flaunt your heartful of happiness by defining your headlines.

Wet sand, yes, that’s the firm binding, which will stand,

Be wet with pure emotions, but flexible like crab in the sand,

Fly high, enjoy your blessings, make your own fairyland,

Do what makes you happy, and be bigger than the brand.

CRAB has been truly motivational in this expression delivered by you. And it deserves this glory. If perceived through astro-talks then it signifies Leo spread love and happiness with action. Moreover both leo n cancer strive to spread happiness towards lesser fortunate zodiac signs….Leo has warm heart n cancerian have emotional flow. Both are deemed to be ruled by non-planets and are actually ruled by light…sun and moon. Thus crab and leo are queen and king of zodiac signs…..
Thus this spontaneous drift of leo towards crab is inherent……crab ruled by moon derives light from sun yet revolves around earth……and sun is at helm of affairs of entire solar system. Crabs loves solitude and won’t like to be at centre of attraction. Crabs /cancerian do represent motherly love and all emotional rush of that is in a family makes it bit distinctive from Leos.
So if this poems has come out it indicates that there is something with the crab. I pray it’s not the remorseful leo for watery signed cancerian. …as the tanning is mentioned due to some scorching shine upon the watery sign who dwells into naturally wet habitat for its family….I am bit perplexed to analyse the zodiac duo……but kudos to your perception.
There are other living beings amongst the amphibians yet if pure aquatic beings are considered they should not be misjudged mean and opportunistic over availability issues owing to leo traits……being sun/leo is not to be mistaken as available. …as told earlier it’s their trait to illuminate the lesser fortunate ones….and thus this is God’s own creation…..a cycle a balance an economic system.
Ecosystem requires all of us…especially king and queen. ..the lion and crab with rest of the biodiversity. Uniformity takes nowhere. …disparity leads to life and that is adjustment.
Your lines are unveiling yet many folded words…..and lifeline has perplexed me to fathom more than what I could produce here for comments…..give me time to convince moreabout everything. ……..The poem IS BUT A CLASS APART
    Good morning!

    A different analysis:

Emerita is a small genus of decapod crustaceans, known as mole crabs, sand fleas, sand crabs, sand fiddlers or sea cicada. These small animals burrow in the sand in the wash zone and use their antennae for filter feeding.

Emerita is adept at burrowing, and is capable of burying itself completely in 1.5 seconds. Unlike mud shrimp, Emerita burrows tail-first into the sand, using the pereiopods to scrape the sand from underneath its body. During this action, the carapace is pressed into the sand as anchorage for the digging limbs. The digging requires the sand to be fluidised by wave action, and Emerita must bury itself in the correct orientation before the wave has passed to be safe from predators.

As the tide changes, Emerita changes its position on the beach; most individuals stay in the zone of breaking waves. This may be detected by the physical characteristics of the sand. As the tide falls, the sand is allowed to settle; when Emerita detects this, it uses the temporary liquefaction from a breaking wave to emerge from its burrow, and is carried down the beach by the wave action Longshore drift may also drag Emerita laterally along a beach.
