PINCH OF SALT (POEM)

If salt is more or less,we don’t cherish the food. So is life…the perfect balance makes us what we are. Instead of crying tears of self- pity, let us find that perfect pinch of salt…

Neither more nor less, without fault,
We all long for that perfect pinch of salt.

I am back to my blog after more than a year. All the reminders to write again, motivated me to pen down again. Hope to connect with you all with this pinch of salt.

PINCH OF SALT

Drifting place to place,
Washing down illusions,
Thinking about unfinished thoughts,
From conversations wasted in confusion.

Neither more nor less, without fault,
We all long for that perfect pinch of salt.

In deep solitude,
Exploring tracks of life,
Between shadow and shades,
A vanished breathe we swipe.

Neither more nor less, without fault,
Again we long for that perfect pinch of salt.

Conquering the Angels of dream,
Wind grows in loneliness,
The fire, silence and sound in us,
Shapes into glass of transparent hardness.

Neither more nor less, without fault,
Still we long for that perfect pinch of salt.

When we close a book,
And turn the pages of life,
Pleasure and joy proves fickle,
Pain stands like a faithful wife.

Neither more nor less, without fault,
More we long for that perfect pinch of salt.

What the spring does with the cherry trees…
What the happy words does with the hungry soul…
Let’s make life same with that perfect pinch of salt…
Let’s work to reach that long awaited cherished goal.

Neither more nor less, without fault,
Life needs that perfect pinch of salt.

That’s great. .. U have been hiding into ur self woven oblivion. .. soliciting has borne some dividends. .. its more poetic now. …..n Yet significantly addressing some latent balance … as usual .. what it could be.. readers may construe something like what that phrase actually means….to not completely believe something that you are told, because you think it is unlikely to be true: ….. the poetic lines do mean a lot…….

    PINCH OF SALT
A strange feeling is observed if we try to relate things which by no means can be related in ordinary parlance so we hunt for the paradigm of somewhat a complex in parlance…..& after enlightenment we get amazed that sometimes things can be related in their ordinary existence too. I think salt is a necessity in everyday use & poet has beautifully related it. Therefore the usage of phrase PINCH OF SALT might have evolved & which is meant to connote the quantum of fact to be relied upon if someone is used to hype or exaggerate their statements… thus you avoid being dumbfounded by any puff served to us. So it’s that optimum measure buildup in any conversation so that the serving remains balanced & palatable….. (that’s maturity but however as children we have exaggerated like… tu jitna bolega usasay ek jyada… poem is for grownups) ….If it’s too salty then no one would taste the other spoon, however if it’s little lesser than what the taste of salt is required we always have the leeway to add an extra dose of salt. So we can relate words, narration or expression since they also have the attribute of being toothsome … and that’s the reason our jaws drop only when the statements awestruck us….because by then we have based on our experiences adjudged its credibility, whether to accept or get astonished over it as a new input. So it’s a balancing requirement with the necessity of salt…. But I think this is an innate attribute of salt because salt itself is produced due to the neutralization of acid & base…. So it’s a product of balance resulting from two extremes. Now that is really a wow point…. Because if we think of horse then it has to be unruly or if we discuss elephants then they have to be mammoth…..it can’t be even an elephant jumping like a stallion…. also elephants would never neigh….their innate properties won’t ever change…. Moreover we are aware of benefits of salt in its correct dose to the contrary the side effects if the salt is overdosed…… it is clinically proven that salt improves sleep, supports healthy nervous system, balances electrolytes and prevents muscle cramping, promotes good vascular health, keeps body hydrated…..to the contrary high salty foods cause HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, gastric cancer, damages stomach lining, affects bones, alters level of PARATHYROID HORMONE…. SO BALANCE IS SOLICITED…. PINCH OF SALT AS THE AUTHOR SAYS ELEGIACALLY…directly strikes to the heart of readers…. They feel committed to review their options & unlock their hurt howsoever caused knowingly or unknowingly…. & allow trysts.
I have tried to decipher the clandestine affair of the poet’s intent which might have triggered this poem….but seldom it’s possible to fathom a heart of a woman… I herewith endeavor to expound it further with my own empathies….they may be less or at times more because perfection is a continuous effort.

A pinch of salt can create magic…it can lead us to a beautiful journey…though it is a mineral composed primarily of sodium chloride (NaCL)🙂…Thank you for liking the poem.
